Continuing to show fine form following her 5th place finish in the 800m final in Australia at the Commonwealth Games, Alex Bell recently made British Milers Club history by being the first woman to win a BMC 800m race in under 2 minutes. With a time of 1:59:93, this is a new PB for Alex and the 3rd fastest time by a GB female athlete this year!
Given the strength of the achievement, it’s understandable that she’s made the cover of Athletics Weekly too.
Earlier in the week prior to the race, Alex took the time to run some training sessions with our junior runners, no doubt inspiring our up-and-coming young athletes.
Well done Alex – an absolutely amazing result and a fantastic ambassador for the claret & gold.
