Pudsey and Bramley mens and womens teams win Yorkshire Fell Running Gold

Yorkshire Gold for Men and Women’s teams at Ilkley Fell Race

We had a bumper turnout for this local classic, with strong performances across the board and being the Yorkshire Fell Running Championship race meant there were medals available.

Joe lead the charge for the men finishing 3rd overall, with Samuel and Mitch close behind resulting in first qualifying Yorkshire team home.

The ladies’ field was particularly strong this year but Betty, Rachel, and Fay put the work in to also finish first team, taking the title of Yorkshire Fell Champions.

In addition, Joe won individual Yorkshire Silver, with Mitch taking home U23 silver, and Betty U23 Yorkshire Bronze.

Showing from the club was superb, with a few folk returning to racing after some time off, as well as it being the first fell race entered as a senior for young Reuben Shamim. Great results from our juniors in the junior races too.

Well done and good racing to all that ran. Solid performances all round and a reminder of what our small-but-mighty club can achieve when we get organised!
